Bar Exam: 1/3 of the Score.

My multistate score came yesterday. I got 1 point below the mean.

By my math, I need to get 66% on the AZ state portion to pass.

I would have liked to feel better about this.

Cheese and rice.

  • Even though I'm a law student, what exactly does this mean?

  • It means very little. Getting a 130-anything on the MBE doesn't predict much. I've been saying, since I took the test: "For the multistate, if I get less than 100, I bombed - if I get over 150, I probably passed. If it's between there... eh, hard to say."

So all it really means is that I was horrifically reminded that I have this pass/fail determination - that I had mostly stopped thinking about - hanging over my head. And after seeing part of my score this morning, it was hanging over my head in full effect again.

Until I got to court. A trial goes a long way in taking your mind off personal stuff.
