For the first time in many, many years, I tried eating meat today. Chicken.

It was nasty. Not so much the taste, but the texture. Ugh. You have to chew that shit for so long. I don't like it, but I think I'll try it again. Apparently, I need protein or something.

  • Well, yeah. Chicken is gross. Go for the good stuff: filet mignon all around.

  • Silly Lex. Humans have evolved. Try cooking it! Look around your place, when you find this thing called a stove, you are on the right track!

When cooked correctly, it will melt in your mouth. Done wrong, you have to chew that shit for so long, like raw carrots!

  • Filet mignon... sounds interesting. Steak, no?

CECU - you're right! That shit had to be chewed about as long as raw carrots. That's exactly how I described it to Fiance'.

In fairness to chicken, what I ate was previously frozen, and that probably contributed to the nastiness.

What about fish? Which fish are good and taste like lettuce?

  • Hey Lex,
Cooking it so it keeps with the veggie thing might work. Cooking chicken too long will do that. Salmon is a good fish to try. don't cook that any longer that 20min. Halibut when it's fresh is very good. When fish is really fresh it dosen't smell like fish at all. Whatever just don't over cook it or you might as well stay a vegitarian. Then just eat eggs or drink your protein.

  • Can I just toss this out there? Microwave chicken leaves a foul taste in even the meanest of carnivores. Seriously. Come by Sadie's. Perfect will cook you up some meat that will make you forget about tofu :)
